Workforce visibility for Africa’s mobile-first businesses

WorkPulse is a workforce management solution designed for Africa’s mobile-first economy, enabling businesses to track attendance, manage shift-based operations, and improve field productivity through real-time SMS check-ins.

Built by Encodev Labs, WorkPulse was developed from the ground up to address one of the most overlooked challenges in African businesses: engaging and managing distributed teams. From logistics and retail to education and healthcare, WorkPulse provides structure and visibility where it’s most needed.

Companies with highly engaged field teams see up to 21% more profitability. WorkPulse was designed to help businesses close that performance gap by transforming fragmented operations into well-oiled, insight-driven systems.

With poorly engaged field teams costing businesses up to 21% in profits, we built WorkPulse to close that gap. Encodev Labs delivered the speed, structure, and execution needed to transform the idea into a real-time tool for field productivity.

QR-powered visitor flow for modern spaces

Frundex is a digital visitor management platform designed for front desks, receptions, and venue access points. It replaces paper logs and unstructured check-ins with an efficient, mobile-first system.

Built by Encodev Labs, Frundex uses QR codes and phone numbers as primary identifiers—allowing guests to check in seamlessly while giving teams instant visibility into who’s on-site, why they’re there, and how often they return.

Frundex eliminates the need for dedicated hardware or check-in kiosks, making it ideal for light offices, coworking spaces, and organizations looking for a no-fuss, modern alternative to manual guest logs.

Frundex was built to modernize how front desks work across Africa—from visitor check-ins to real-time visibility. Encodev Labs helped us go from idea to execution with speed, focus, and the right technical depth.

Transforming sports ticketing in Ghana with digital access and transparency

In 2022, eGotickets partnered with the NSA to launch Ghana’s first sports eTicketing platform, debuting during the high-stakes Ghana vs Nigeria World Cup Qualifier.

The digital ticketing platform generated over GHS 1.4 million in revenue from that single event—a 60%+ increase over previous gate collections—and introduced mobile payments, QR-based access control, and real-time sales tracking to national stadium operations.

To increase reach and inclusivity, eGotickets also introduced a Venue Management System (VMS) for on-site ticket sales and eGoPrime—an agent solution allowing mobile ticket sellers to reach fans directly in their communities, bringing sports ticketing even closer to the people.

Encodev Labs helped us launch Ghana’s first e-ticketing system for sports, boosting revenue, improving transparency, and transforming the fan experience.

Enabling instant loan top-ups across WhatsApp, Web, and USSD

In response to the urgent need for remote access to credit during the COVID-19 pandemic, Encodev Labs designed and developed a platform that enabled Letshego customers to top up their loans using WhatsApp, USSD, and Web channels.

The WhatsApp platform, powered by Infobip’s Business API, enabled secure loan processing from start to finish—handling over $50K in daily loan disbursements and later scaled across multiple African countries.

The Web and USSD interfaces ensured accessibility across device types and demographics, with tight integrations into Letshego’s in-house loan middleware, authentication systems, and business logic layers.

The WhatsApp loan platform Encodev Labs built became a cornerstone of our COVID-era response. Fast, intuitive, and truly pan-African—it proved that smart, user-centered solutions can scale real impact quickly.

Powering cross-border financial infrastructure for Africa’s inclusive lenders

Letshego, one of Africa’s leading inclusive finance institutions, needed a modern backend to unify operations across multiple countries and systems. We delivered a robust infrastructure that made that possible.

We designed a platform with built-in support for multi-channel payments—enabling seamless switching between mobile money operators (MNOs), bank processors like GHIPSS and NIBSS, and other digital payment rails.

Beyond payments, our solution empowered Letshego to connect and extend internal systems, including AML and KYC platforms, loan origination systems, and cross-border core banking infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and operational visibility across all markets.

Encodev Labs was instrumental in helping us unify our digital infrastructure across markets. Their solution gave us the flexibility to support multiple payment providers and brought much-needed interoperability to our internal and third-party systems. It’s been a game-changer for our digital lending vision.

MPower Payments

Full product development, Payments integration, Mobile & Web UX

Pioneering digital payments in Ghana and beyond

Before mobile money reached mass adoption, Encodev Labs designed and launched MPower Payments—a full-stack digital payments solution supporting cards, mobile money, direct bank integration, bill pay, and merchant services.

Partnering with SMSGH (now Hubtel), MPower Payments rapidly gained traction among businesses and consumers. The platform supported secure transactions, multi-channel access via web, USSD, and mobile, and featured comprehensive fraud protection and admin controls.

The platform quickly scaled to over 10,000 users and merchants, processing more than GHC1 million in monthly transactions at its peak in the early days, and helped shape the foundation for modern fintech in West Africa.

MPower was the first payments platform we trusted to power our online business. Reliable, forward-thinking, and game-changing—it brought digital commerce within reach for many of us in Ghana.

CAL Brokers

Capital markets systems, Shareholder portals, Payment integration

Digitizing Ghana’s first public rights issue experience

CAL Brokers needed a secure, digital-first way to manage equity participation and capital raising for CAL Bank’s public rights issue in 2010. Encodev Labs delivered Ghana’s first fully digital public share offering system.

In 2009, we developed Sharevault—a web-based platform that enabled shareholders to purchase and reallocate shares online, powering CAL Bank’s successful $20M capital raise.

In 2010, we extended this with a real-time rights issue platform that allowed thousands of investors to verify entitlements, subscribe to shares, and make secure payments online. It laid the foundation for future capital markets innovation in Ghana.

The Sharevault and rights issue platforms were game-changers. They modernized our entire shareholder experience and proved that digital infrastructure could transform capital raising in Ghana.
