Overview
In 2009, CAL Brokers wanted to lead Ghana into a new era of capital markets infrastructure. With the help of Encodev Labs, they launched Sharevault—a platform that enabled shareholders to securely purchase and reallocate shares online, raising $20 million in capital for CAL Bank.
Building on this success, the following year we developed Ghana’s first real-time digital rights issue platform. It enabled shareholders to verify entitlements, subscribe to offerings, and complete secure payments from any location. The system also featured automated allocation logic, reporting tools, and integrations with CAL Bank’s backend systems.
This marked a major step forward in the digitization of Ghana’s financial services industry—creating the blueprint for future equity and IPO platforms in the region.
